Today on RÚV English Radio, the Westfjords sea-swim happening tomorrow.
Sæunnarsund (https://saeunnarsund.is/) sees over thirty brave souls swim across Önundarfjörður from Flateyri. It's a two-and-a-half kilometre crossing, it's cold, and it can be choppy.
But why does this swim happen? The answer - the reason for the birth of this event - is remarkable and wonderful.
Organiser Bryndís Sigurðardóttir met Darren, to tell him the story.
