VAKA Folk Art Festival 2025 (https://www.vakareykjavik.is/home) is underway in Kópavogur and Reykjavík from 15 - 21 September, celebrating traditional cultural activities from Iceland and beyond with a programme of events and activities for the whole family.
Earlier this afternoon, the youngsters of Laufásborg Children’s Kvæði
Association and Hjallastefnan children’s singing group kicked off the festival with songs at Salurinn in Kópavogur.
Darren met Josie Anne Gaitens from the festival team to hear about the week ahead.
