Today, RÚV English Radio previews the capital's Early Music Festival, taking place this week.
Reykjavík Early Music Festival (https://www.harpa.is/reykjavik-early-music-festival:-hatidarpassi) is the first international festival of its kind in Reykjavík, and will be held in Harpa, from Tuesday to Thursday this week. A preview event takes place tonight, Monday 25 March, at Ský Bar (https://www.skyreykjavik.com/event-details/baroque-with-consortico)
The festival is a unique platform for the collaboration of Icelandic and foreign music groups that specialise in the original performance of baroque and early music.
Elfa Rún Kristinsdóttir is the artistic director of the festival. Darren met her in Harpa on Monday morning to learn more.
Tickets for the festival are available from Harpa (https://www.harpa.is/reykjavik-early-music-festival:-hatidarpassi), tix.is (https://tix.is/is/event/16930/reykjavik-early-music-festival-hati-arpassi/) and the official festival website (https://reykjavikearly.is/)
