Today, RÚV English Radio looks at the history of photography in Iceland.
At the capital's Museum of Photography (https://borgarsogusafn.is/en), around seven million images are currently held. Of those, tens of thousands are available to view and even buy online, or on dedicated screens at the museum.
Today, the Icelandic Photography Festival 2025 (https://tipf.is) kicks off at the museum with Weathered, an exhibition by FÍSL – The Icelandic Contemporary Photography Association.
Darren met Jóhanna Guðrún Árnadóttir to hear more about the museum, and the festival.
