Nominations are now open (at skipulag@reykjavik.is) for buildings and plots that deserve a beautification award this year. Awards (https://www.ruv.is/english/2025-06-13-nominations-invited-for-beautification-awards-446017) have been presented annually since 1968 for beautiful houses and plots in Reykjavík, often in connection with the city’s anniversary, or in the autumn.
Darren spoke to architect and project manager Sólveig Sigurðardóttir at Reykjavík city.
