Today on RÚV English Radio, the celebration of acoustic Icelandic music coming to the capital next week.

The Reykjavík Folk Festival (https://tix.is/en/event/21036/reykjavik-folk-festival-2026) is back for 2026, with the three-day event kicking off next Thursday.

Sigmar Þór Matthíasson is the double bassist with the band Brek (https://www.facebook.com/brekband), and one of the organisers of the festival. He told Darren more about what to expect.
