Episode 805 - AKUREYRI ART MUSEUM, PART II: GUÐMUNDUR ÁRMANN, AÐFLÆÐI / INFLUX

Today on RÚV English Radio, another look at Listasafnið á Akureyri - the Akureyri Art Museum - and another exhibition showing there.

Aðflæði (https://www.listak.is/en/exhibitions/current-exhibitions/gudmundur-armann) is a retrospective exhibition from Guðmundur Ármann‘s 65 year career, the oldest work from 1970. The exhibition traces his moves from realistic to abstract. Paintings, prints and drawings play the main role, but one can also see a few 3D works created from battered pieces of wood.

Darren spoke to Guðmundur Ármann and curator Magnús Helgason, at Listasafnið á Akureyri.
