Today, RÚV English Radio has the latest from Grindavík, and meets an American knitter who loves Iceland - and its wool.
Darren starts today's show with an update on the latest eruption, which as of around 3pm on Tuesday, appears to be ended, or close to over.
Also in today's show, however, he meets Leslie Meyer, a knitter in Seattle, USA, who has a love of Iceland, and especially the wool, or yarn, that comes from the country. She tells Darren that it's very popular in Seattle, and also that the city and the state have seen lots of immigration from Iceland and other Nordic countries over the years.
Some of the designers mentioned by Leslie are Ragnheiður Bjarman Eiríksdóttir, Mary Jane Mucklestone, Védís Jónsdóttir and Hélène Magnússon. You can find them all on Instagram.
Leslie also talked about G. Dagbjört Guðmundsdóttir (designer and shop owner in Reykjavík) and the store in Seattle in which she works, Acorn Street.
