Today, RÚV English Radio seeks your help.
A new service is in development which will help learners of Icelandic, by allowing them to watch RÚV programming online, while specially designed subtitles show and explain important Icelandic words, in their own language, as the programme plays.
Next week at RÚV HQ at Efstaleiti in Reykjavík, testing of the service will take place.
Can you spare 20 to 30 minutes to come along to RÚV and help test the system? Sessions will run on Tuesday afternoon and evening (4 June), and all day Wednesday (5 June).
Niss Jonas Carlsson is from the Swedish NGO Språkkraft, and he joined Darren by Zoom to explain how the system works - and why your help in testing the service is so important.
If you would like to take part next week at RÚV, please email Niss at nissjonas@sprakkraft.org - and he will be delighted to see you!
