Today on RÚV English Radio, a visit to one of the capital's favourite attractions.
Whales Of Iceland (https://www.whalesoficeland.is/) is Europe's biggest whale museum. Life-sized and based on specific individuals found in the wild, a team of expert crafters have sculpted 23 life-like and detailed whale models found in Icelandic waters. They hang from the ceiling as you walk around, giving you a real sense of their huge and majestic scale.
Jonathan Rempel is the director of Whales Of Iceland. He spoke to Darren about the museum, the wonders that are whales, and the successful (and sadly rare) refloating of a beached whale at Þorlákshöfn last week.
