Today on RÚV English Radio - Opera Days are coming to the capital, tomorrow.

Reykjavik Opera Days (https://operudagar.is/is/2025/vidburdir/) is a festival that was held for the first time in 2016 as Kopavogur Opera Days. Moving to Reykjavik in 2018, it won the Music Festival of the Year award at the Icelandic Music Awards in the following year.

Ten days of opera, singing, musical theatre, and classical vocal music, kick off tomorrow.

Conductor, singer, and festival co-organiser Ragnheiður Ingunn Jóhannsdóttir met with Darren to discuss what's ahead.
